I'm gonna guess Stam1na or Skálmöld, both of which have new albums. Stam1na fucking killed it onbroad in 2017 - I'd love to have them back.

5 out of the last 6 announcements have been must see bands for me (Bodyfarm wasn't on my radar but holy shit are they ever fucking good!). I'm starting to get very happy with this lineup!

I'm guessing Solstafir will be next, bringing that total up to 6 out of the last 7

Came ooooh so close on numerous occasions, and if I don't get it I'm more than happy with the lineup already.

My bet is NeO is the "OMG" band. For how much they've been requested every year and now they are finally on the boat - it makes sense to me. I'm happy with that. Even if they aren't headliner-worthy. I think NeO is one of the best metal acts in the world today.

Wasn't talking about them actually. Sounds like they're on hiatus for a while as they do work on the album, so they might not be open to play again. Per was on two years in a row, after all.

As much as I love NeO, and as much as they've been requested here on the Forum, they're not an OMG band for "the metal world Out There." But I agree; they are splendid live, and the interview we did with Xenoyr was one of the highlights of the year for me.

I don’t think everyone is ever going to agree on an ‘OMG band,’ as it’s pretty subjective. I originally learned of NeO via the hype in this forum and speculation around them being rumored for 2016 (during the CoF tour). They are very popular amongst the 70K crowd. Though I’ve since seen them 3 times, and they are touring regularly, I really think the shows on the cruise are going to be something special. They are long overdue for this appearance.

Oh shit, Sodom just moved to 2 guitarists for the first time, and Blackfire is back.
Given how great they were in 2016 (both shows), and my usual complaints about trios performing live, this new lineup is a must see for all thrash fans IMO.

Second longest gap between band announcements since announcement began for the 2019.

We had to wait forever for them to start, but at least the brightside is that it's lead to a fairly steady stream of regular announcements :)
