Cell reception is generally not available (or might cost a fortune -- remember to switch to airplane mode just after we sail), but if your phone is capable of Wi-Fi calling, enable it before you leave. If you purchase a Wi-Fi plan on board, you should be able to call home and receive calls on the boat. It worked for me last year.Is cell reception generally existent at all during the cruise or is it possible to call home another way?
