Have you tried a couple different of their records? They've changed a lot over the years. Their earliest stuff was kinda Peaceville death-doom, with a pivot towards mid-period Opeth style progressive, conceptual metal around Mabool and Orwarrior. All is One was a strong swing towards accessible radio-rock vibes with most of the prog and death elements removed from their sound, whereas their most recent record UP&DM kinda synthesised all their previous sounds into a record that was both accessible and progressive. And of course all of these records have a heavy Middle-Eastern Folk influence.

But for example if you tried to get into All is One it might not really work for you unless you really like radio rock.

Will check out Mabool, thanks. I saw them open for Tyr last year and just couldn't get into it. Do they mostly play the radio rock sounding stuff on tours?

Will check out Mabool, thanks. I saw them open for Tyr last year and just couldn't get into it. Do they mostly play the radio rock sounding stuff on tours?

They play a pretty good mix of stuff nowadays, their Tyr setlist mixed in stuff from the last four records, including three songs from Mabool. If you didn't dig that setlist they're probably not a band for you, which is ok!

Bloodbound are pretty fun, they could sneak up there, especially since we are so lacking in power metal. Carach Angren are kinda cool but a little too try-hard spooky for me. Cattle decapitation are too heavy for me, but I've always dug how they actually have a meaningful point to their gross-out lyrics. Finntroll are hella fun, and folk legends who I've never seen which is very nice. Suffocation do little for me. And Orphaned Land wrote my third favorite record of 2018 in UP&DM, so I am incredibly excited to get to see them again. (though if we're doing so many 2017 repeats, Draconian please!)

Maybe if I finally update this it will summon the next next announcement?

Atheist is alright, but I'll be seeing them with Cattle D this December which makes them less of a priority. Cattle Decapitation bumped themselves up from a 1 to a 2 with their excellent new record. Also, Grave Digger sounds more like Blind Guardian than I remember, so they get an upgrade.

And we finally have a teaser of an Archon Angel song, and it sounds sufficiently acceptable that I will ensure to be at their first set if possible. I hope they become incredibly successful so that I can proceed to flex obnoxiously that I was there.

So, I did have Cruachan as a 2. Now that the band just added that fukkin....(words I won't use here) as their female vocalist for their sets, I am so PISSED OFF. Ugghh...what a massive turn off.
The ruin of GWAR. Oderus would be embarrassed.
I was so looking forward to seeing them play this cruise and now, I feel like they've gone down the juggalo path. Weak.
I have nothing against women! Seriously! But that one? She reacts to everything on fbook. FFS! How BORING.

So the new bands are already getting a decent number of votes for such a short time frame. These number will likely change slightly as more users weigh in.

Incantation is sitting at #21
Must = 44 - 40%
Might = 31 - 28%
Wont = 34 - 31%
Total = 109 Votes

Edenbridge is sitting at #34
Must = 40 - 24%

Small bug: I just clicked on the notification for INCANTATION, clicked on it and clicked Must!, and back on the list, the header says "70,000 Tons 0 bands".
