Now why would you say that? Even if we are a small group, we will make arrangements to take that pic. It's a classic!

Haven't seen too much interest in it from the "usual suspects" (Alexander Taleb, etc.), so either they're not planning on attending or have lost interest in it.
Yeah, why not. I’ll plan on being there.cegr80 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 11:14 am Monday January 30th, 2023

I'll see if I can find some labels that will work on my office printer.
Meet and Greet will be before any shows start so no worries on that end. There's also a good possibility the shows won't start on time anyways. You'll have a handful of hours to socialize before the music kicks off, get your bearings on the boat, watch us take off from the port, etc.Wraith61636 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 10:22 am I'd like to attend the meet n greet, but there's a few bands I've been wnating my entire lifetime to see and meet, what usually goes on at that time? Yep. This is the reason why any fan-gathering on board HAS to happen between, say, 2 pm and 4 pm. After 2 pm because by then, most people should be onbroad; after 4 pm because when the ship reaches international waters (12 miles out), bands can start performing. After 4 pm or so, things start getting busy with shows and the last shows of the day end at....6 am or so.mooyagi wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 10:25 amMeet and Greet will be before any shows start so no worries on that end. It's a mix. The heavy hitters will play between dinner time and a bit after midnight.I think there's some care to not have too many same genre clashes playing at once to try and avoid conflicts, though they are inevitable. Everyone plays twice and the lineups on days 3 and 4 are changed up so it's not the same bands playing in conflict with each other each time.Wraith61636 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 11:39 am Is there a method to the madness as far as line ups goes or is it just random as hell and its just whatever, or how does that go?
I think there was a tacit statement from Andy that no two bands would ever be scheduled against each other twice, so that technically, you're always guaranteed to see your favorite two bands play a full set. Of course, situations like the "Fuck the Storm" schedule can mess that up.mooyagi wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 5:02 pmIt's a mix. Edit: Also most bands will play at a different venue for the second set but there are a couple of exceptions.
Thanks, toby! So far we got 12 people but with the +1s and any other non-forum members, I think we should be looking at 20 tags approximately. Also tell us how much do you want for each name tag, whether it's money or a drink (remember cherrythorne's experience with the drinks, LOL)
So some years the pool deck has had to close due to weather. (2014 big time, but other years as well).Wraith61636 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 11:03 am Yes thanks alot. If it helps I plan on having my old lady with me at the meet n greet so I will be having a plus 1.
And a quick edit add on question, what happens to be the "fuck the storm" schedule? Just curious
I think US$1 each is plenty. Buying me a drink each would be a recipe for disaster. lol There's 8 per sheet, so I'll probably print 3 or 4 sheets just in case some people decide to show up spur of the moment.cegr80 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:53 amThanks, toby! Excellent! EVERYBODY WHO WANTS A NAME TAG MAKE SURE TO SAVE ONE OR TWO $1 BILLS FOR TOBY
Toby i'll throw you a fiver if you dance up on the karaoke stage at the bar
Don't threaten me with a good time. I plan to be a karaoke regular this round. Don't think I sang anything on 2020.
The good news is, we'll just be sailing in circles for a day and a half each way, so strong winds from the ships' forward speed shouldn't be a major issue.slayergeek wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 11:35 amSome years this is an issue, some years it isn't. 2020 was fine weather wise, so we will have to see what happens this year.Wraith61636 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 11:03 am Yes thanks alot.
