I'm a fan of Swallow The Sun. But I was hoping to have the S band be something else, since I'll be seeing them on their NA tour after the boat with Harakiri For The Sky and Ghost Bath. It would have been fun to have it be Sojourner. Wishful thinking!

The Ballet Finland show sounds interesting. I think that’s the first time I’ve heard of ballet incorporating with metal.

So maybe just maybe there is a slim chance of Insomnium making it on the boat . That is one band in particular that I listen to at least 5 to 6 times every week.

Chances are pretty slim. They are going to be on tour of Europe at the beginning of 2025 and have a show the night of January 28th in Austria. So, not completely ruled out, but very tight window.

I take a break from the internet for a day and Andy announces the most boring sets I've seen on the boat making a return. At least this time there'll be something to watch instead of lifeless album perfect playing.

And on top of that we have an I clue that could reasonably be Ihsahn who equally wasted time on the last boat they played by demanding 60 minute sets but only prepping 40 minutes of material. If he's back and playing 60 minutes, I hope he has 60 minutes worth of material prepped. Hate to see the limited 60 min sets wasted while other bands are trying to cram as much in to their 45 minutes as they can.

No 10/10s on the lineup at the halfway point and the number of red (ruled out) bands on my signature wishlist is growing.

Given that the results of my latest annual pay review were not overly pleasing to me, 70K 2025 is not on the cards for me at this stage.

Especially since I hold tickets for myself and the family for Epicfest in Denmark at Easter time. With MANY bucketlist bands on that lineup for me (Crimson Glory, Royal Hunt, Theocracy, Induction, Pirate Queen, Fellowship), at this stage its a no-brainer.

Arsis did a collaboration -- can't remember if it was a tour or what -- with "Ballet Deviare" many years ago. It was an odd mix, but I guess it worked.

Called it and here's to hoping he actually preps enough material to actually play his full sets this time. I'm not opposed to him getting 60 minute sets. I'm opposed to ANY band getting more than 45 minutes of set time and playing less than that (barring any technical difficulties). Even if it's bands I'm a die hard fan of like Unleash the Archers

Nothing really in the K camp to get me excited. Doubt Kamelot is returning so soon (but I wouldn't be surprised if they did become the 3rd 5-peat band given they've been on every other boat since 2017). Knightmare and Knight of the Round would get me excited but are way too niche and tiny for Andy to give them a solo announcement (and might not even be on the radar aside from my wishlist)

In 2023 and 2024, when I saw Kamelot each time on their NA tours, I spoke with the band about 70k. Sean (and also the others in the band) mentioned both times that they really enjoys the boat and want to return every 2 editions as much as possible. If I'm not mistaken, since 2017, they have played each chance they could (assuming we follow the no-repeats rule). So maybe again in 2025? If it was up to the band, they would be on it.
