We're excited to announce that SWALLOW THE SUN will be performing "Plague of Butterflies" in its entirety, for the first time ever outside of Finland. But hold on, there's more...! These are the things that only happen onbroad 70000TONS OF METAL, The Original, The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise. After each of the two performances of "Plague of Butterflies" by SWALLOW THE SUN feat. BALLET FINLAND, the band will play two different regular sets as well! This is something you don't want to miss, book your cabin now!
“I”t's only a matter of time before you're onbroad, excited yet?!
Is this the return of the mysterious Magic 8 Ball?
Perhaps! TBDAverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:41 amIs this the return of the mysterious Magic 8 Ball?
We had them on board in 2023,there are so many other bands out there anywaymetalforever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:51 am Insomnium please How great would that be ! The last day of their tour is 1/28/25 in Europe, could possibly work , cutting it a little close though.
Is 2 years the minimum amount of time that a band can return or is it longer ?Swiss Jack wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 6:57 pmWe had them on board in 2023,there are so many other bands out there anywaymetalforever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:51 am Insomnium please How great would that be ! Feels like Grave Digger is on every other round. lolmetalforever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:20 pmIs 2 years the minimum amount of time that a band can return or is it longer ?Swiss Jack wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 6:57 pmWe had them on board in 2023,there are so many other bands out there anywaymetalforever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:51 am Insomnium please How great would that be ! So maybe just maybe there is a slim chance of Insomnium making it on the boat . That is one band in particular that I listen to at least 5 to 6 times every week.toby wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 6:44 amFeels like Grave Digger is on every other round. lolmetalforever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:20 pmIs 2 years the minimum amount of time that a band can return or is it longer ?Swiss Jack wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 6:57 pm

Chances are pretty slim. They are going to be on tour of Europe at the beginning of 2025 and have a show the night of January 28th in Austria. So, not completely ruled out, but very tight window.metalforever wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:23 amSo maybe just maybe there is a slim chance of Insomnium making it on the boat . Arsis did a collaboration -- can't remember if it was a tour or what -- with "Ballet Deviare" many years ago. It was an odd mix, but I guess it worked.AverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:08 am The Ballet Finland show sounds interesting. I think that’s the first time I’ve heard of ballet incorporating with metal.
Blahblahblah. See you on Jan 29th or 30th.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 3:43 pm No 10/10s on the lineup at the halfway point and the number of red (ruled out) bands on my signature wishlist is growing.
Given that the results of my latest annual pay review were not overly pleasing to me, 70K 2025 is not on the cards for me at this stage.
Same hereAverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:21 am I can’t put my finger on why, I just never got into Ihsahn. I’ll have to give him another shot. Good for everyone who requested him.
Katalepsy or Kvaen for K.
Love me some "K"velertak despite not knowing what they are singing about.Swiss Jack wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:32 am the first name that comes to mind is Korpiklaani (not again pleaaaaaaase)... I used to enjoy them but there are always on every festival you go to
Kissin' Dynamite (2020) might come back
but I vote for Krisiun (2016 - 2019) or Khonsu (never)
Kvelertak too big, King Diamond too old, Kerry King to much of a dick (oops sorry)
Kamelot and Keep of Kalessin (2023), Kataklysm and Katatonia (2024) probably too early
2020 also had Finntroll
Indeed lots or repeatsMuzakMaker wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 1:36 pm2020 also had Finntroll
2018 and 2019 are heavy too
2018
Benighted
Beyond Creation
In Extremo
Samael
Septicflesh
Sepultura
Sonata Arctica
Swallow the Sun
2019
Delain
Subway to Sally
Onslaught
Twilight Force
Unleash the Archers
Edit: Looks like 2016 has more than 2020 & 2019 (3 of which were in both '16 and '19) but not as much as 2018
Delain
Subway to Sally
Twilight Force
Samael
Stratovarius
Hammerfall
I think we’re going to see a lot of this. I think most bands don’t like the cruise so we’ll get a lot of repeats of the ones that do. K could be Kreator who also seems to like the cruise.
Memorable Deck show in 2023, Everyone was going nutz in the pit!!!BoltThrower wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:05 amI think we’re going to see a lot of this. I think most bands don’t like the cruise so we’ll get a lot of repeats of the ones that do. K could be Kreator who also seems to like the cruise.
