So far, the FB event says from Jan 27 to 29. But no other details have been posted. I assume it'll be in Miami. And there will most probably be the meetup at the Hollywood brewery for those who are staying there.

I have been in contact with Doro, and the party at the Clevelander is being fully planned as we speak. Details will be displayed in the app and on Facebook as soon as they are available.

Plans will 'likely' be similar to last year.

Monday, 1/27, will 'likely' be the first night of events starting in the evening. Maybe in the main bar area...maybe on the roof at the Clevelander.

Tuesday will 'likely' be a larger event with live bands playing in the main bar area at the Clevelander.

Wednesday will be the beach party with live karaoke going on at in the main bar area afterward well into the night (again 'likely‘).

Thursday, we board the ship....and in previous years, there has been a bus bridge available for a reasonable fee from the Clevelander to the port.

This information makes some assumptions based on what has happened in previous years and from information Doro has already posted.

THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL SCHEDULE, and Doro could make substantial changes to the above assumption...so look for the official announcement of exactly what will happen……soon!!!!

The Hollywood Beach Brewing party is on the Tuesday night I think. The South Beach stuff starts the Monday night, I believe, and there's usually something each day until the main events on the Wednesday. We're staying more Miami downtown/medical center (because room with points), but our flight should be in early enough Wednesday where I'll make the South Beach party for the first time (usually do Hollywood Beach stuff). There's a Facebook group for South Beach stuff, but Ron (slayergeek) usually puts it in the (Unofficial) App, so get the 70K Bands app. It's worth everything you pay for it. lol

You should love it. Seeing all the black shirts gathered under the sun at the beach, everybody talking and drinking beers and having a good time until the famous photo shoot, then the party at the Clevelander at night. Good times

Every year, the beach party is a chance for people to see old friends they haven't seen in a while and to catch up and also to make new lifelong friends prior to boarding. It's such a great day surrounded by the best people!

My first time going ever to 70k, let alone Miami. I'm solo too - excited and anxious but jumping in head first~

I'm actually intensely socially awkward and am sure that if I could be bothered to get formally evaluated I would be found to be neuro divergent in some fashion. But, I'm too old for that shit I'll stick with my free, self evaluation of socially awkward

So yeah that's my excuse for not going. Once on boat? Well I'm trapped on a boat aren't I, so if I see people I know I'll talk. Hell if randoms want to chat I'll talk. But in Miami and given a choice to not go to the pre-party? Yeah I'll find an excuse

Oh, I've already got my ticket for the karaoke. Their selection is more limited than what David has on BOAT, but I'm sure I'll find something to sing. Live band is definitely a different kind of fun. You can play off the other guys instead of having to entertain on your own. lol
