Hope skipper doesn't mind me posting this here - I mean, I dont perceive Australia can do anything that can truly compete with 70k.

October 22nd to 26th next year (so 3 nights)
Carnival Splendor (capacity of 3,000 passengers)
Sailing the pacific leaving from Sydney, Australia
Reckon if they get ONE decent band I'll probably go haha
Grand Turk (the island, as opposed to Turks & Caicos, the country) is my favorite port of all, but I can totally see where people's miles would vary.
Nifty. I've been on almost every class of cruise vessel Carnival has, but never on the Splendor. She is unique, literally a class all to herself.
Why would anybody do a festival with such early band announcements?! It’s far more sensible to wait until the last minute to announce half the lineup.
I know right? But wait - it gets WORSE:BoltThrower wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 6:50 amWhy would anybody do a festival with such early band announcements?! It’s far more sensible to wait until the last minute to announce half the lineup.
To be fair, it doesn't look like it was a very challenging lineup to put together...cowboy71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 7:17 pmI know right? Full Artist Lineup Announcement
Wednesday, April 30 - 5pm AEST
Presale Opens
Monday, May 12 - 10am AEST
General Public On Sale
Thursday, May 15 - 10am AEST
Pre-Sale opening TWO WEEKS after the FULL lineup? Meaning people have plenty of time to get their finances in order? Just SILLY. Not only THAT but they are offering a completely insane 12-monthly-payments plan.
Total madness![]()
That's a big meh lineup for me.Downvod wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:03 amTo be fair, it doesn't look like it was a very challenging lineup to put together...cowboy71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 7:17 pmI know right? But wait - it gets WORSE:BoltThrower wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 6:50 am

Yeah… I agree. I’m sure Hellbound has its audience, but it’s not for me. Reliqa is pretty cool, but I don’t see myself going to Australia to watch one band on a boat. Props to them for posting their full lineup, though. I hope they’re successful.toby wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:55 amThat's a big meh lineup for me.Downvod wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:03 amTo be fair, it doesn't look like it was a very challenging lineup to put together...cowboy71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 7:17 pm

Big same. Even if it's not my cup of tea, that sort of effort deserves some respect. If they're successful with it, they get to continue.AverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 11:34 amYeah… I agree. I’m sure Hellbound has its audience, but it’s not for me. Or you could always go the other route that sometimes happens to fests, does really well, books "bigger and better" acts. Doesn't do as well now that they've lost their very specific appeal.

Vancouver, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm guessing most Canadian cruises would cruise to American cities, thus kinda not being ideal for obvious reasons.
